Arvind Swamy is memorable in people's memories for his outstanding performance in the films like ' Bombay ' and ' Roja '. Reportedly, the actor will be back on the celluloid after a gap of 14 years. Mahesh Manjrekar is soon coming up with the remake of his Marathi hit film 'Kaksparsh' and he has roped in Arvind Swamy to play the male lead.
Talking about this venture, Manjrekar stated that "I decided to remake the film because I wanted it to reach a national audience. 'Kaksparsh' has a Tamil cultural backdrop. That's why I chose to remake the film in that language as well," The movie will be reportedly made in Hindi as well as Tamil language and the female lead will be played by Tisca Chopra .
The original Marathi film 'Kaksparsh' was filmed in Guhagar in Konkan region and the remake will also be shot there. It narrates the story written by Usha Datar, which is a love story taken place in Konkan in the 1930's-1950's. It speaks about the turbulence a family has to confront, when their young, widowed daughter-in-law starts developing an emotion of love with her older brother-in-law.
