Eternally beautiful actress Asha Parekh marked her debut in the film industry long back in the year 1959 and now after half-century she will be honoured with a Lifetime Achievement Award at the closing ceremony of the fifth edition of Jagran Film Festival on September 28.
The actress holds the veteran status at present, being one of the reigning actresses of the golden era of 1960s and 1970s. She holds the record of delivering her noteworthy performances in films ' Jab Pyar Kisi Se Hota Hai ', ' Love In Tokyo ', ' Teesri Manzil ', ' Kati Patang ' and ' Aan Milo Sajna ' to name a few.
In the year 1992, government of India felicitated Asha Parekh with Padma Shri for her significant contribution in Indian cinema.
