It’s confirmed that Aamir is not doing the biopic on astronaut Rakesh Sharma. The actor has got some genuine reasons.

For the last few months, the news of Aamir doing Rakesh Sharma’s biopic has been doing the rounds everywhere. Reportedly, the movie was titled ‘Salute’ and Priyanka Chopra was being considered to play Aamir’s on-screen wife. Well, we have got some bad news for our readers. Aamir Khan is no more doing this film and Priyanka is not even in the frame. The film is being produced by Siddharth Roy Kapur and is helmed by Mahesh Mathai . It is believed that Aamir has backed out of the film because of script concerns, and conveyed his decision to the makers. Aamir’s leaving the project has multiple sides of it. Though the actor never spoke about it anywhere, a statement from Siddharth Kapur’s khabri made his decision crystal clear.
A source close to Siddharth Roy Kapur said, “There weren’t any script concerns at all. In fact, Aamir liked the script but he has decided to do something that is a long-term situation where he is going to be working on just one thing, which could become a franchise in the future. He wants to dedicate his life to at least the next decade which will consume him as a producer, director and perhaps even actor and that will take precedence over anything else that he does. Aamir wants to jump into that immediately. Because of that, he is not in the film anymore.”
Though Aamir’s opting out from the film is sad news, the audience should surely get to know about Indian astronaut, Rakesh Sharma.
