‘Badhaai Ho’, the Ayushmann Khurrana and Sanya Malhotra starrer commences today!

The multi-talented Ayushmann Khurrana had a fruitful last year. His two family comedy movies became critically and commercially successful and also won praises for the talented actor. Seems like the actor has become a face of family comedy films, after doing back to back such movies, he is all set to do yet another comedy-drama, titled, ‘ Badhaai Ho ’. Ayushmann started prepping for the film on 8th January and today, on Tuesday, the film has finally gone on floors. The film is directed by Amit Sharma who previously helmed ‘ Tevar ’ and for the female lead, the makers have selected Sanya Malhotra of ‘ Dangal ’ fame. The basic plot of the film follows the lives of a family that gets affected by the certain news and what happens next builds up the crux of the story.

Helmed by Sharma, the film is written by Akshat Ghildial and Shantanu Srivastava and is being made under the banner of Junglee Pictures, which last year gave the hit film, ‘ Bareilly Ki Barfi ’.

Not revealing much about the film, the director informed a leading daily, “It’s very real and easy to relate to. What is funny for others is a matter of concern for the family. I hope one day soon people will tell me ‘ Badhaai Ho ’ too, after watching the film.”

This is the second collaboration between Ayushmann and the team of BKB and talking about the same the actor has earlier said, I had a fantastic experience collaborating with Junglee Pictures for Bareilly Ki Barfi and working with them on Badhaai Ho is going to be exciting. The story that Amit tells is typically Indian with dollops of quirky humour. I look forward to a family film that is innovative and entertaining.”
