Be ready to chill because ‘Kaalakaandi’ is all set to have a Netflix release!
Saif Ali Khan’s upcoming movie will not have the usual release, instead of releasing ‘Kaalakaandi’ in theatres, Saif goes over Netflix this time.

Saif Ali Khan has got a bag full of movies this year, from ‘ Rangoon ’ to ‘ Chef ’ to ‘ Kaalakaandi ’, he has got his schedule really tight, but what’s different this year is, despite releasing all his movies in theatres, he is now shifting to online platform i.e. ‘Netflix’. Yes, you heard it right, Saif’s upcoming movie ‘ Kaalakaandi ’ is all set to have a digital release and that will be on Netflix.
‘ Kaalakaandi ’ was supposed to release in theatres this September but due to its content, the censor board was finding it hard to give it a green signal. This was the reason that the director Akshat Verma decided to go over Netflix.
Now if we talk about the film, Saif earlier told a leading tabloid, “Kaalakaandi is a film I’m so happy to be part of! It’s a cross-section of Mumbai with underworld goons, doomed bankers and idealistic lovers in this karmic tale about love, crime and living a lifetime in one night!! Akshat Verma has written and directed this unique movie. He’s probably the only voice that tells it exactly like it actually is. Mumbai is a crazy, beautiful city and he is captured it perfectly in this very fun and moving film.”
