Actress Bhumi Pednekar is making news for all the right reasons. After her first film Dum Laga Ke Haisha with Ayushman Khurana, the lady rose to fame instantly. She was appreciated for her role of an over weight woman and the movie was a sleeper hit. Bhumi’s recent release Toilet: Ek Prem Katha with Akshay Kumar is a roaring hit. Without much of a gap, her next film released with Ayushman again, titled Shubh Mangal Saavdhan which is based on a sexual theme of erectile dysfunction and performance anxiety in men. The film is performing decently at the box-office front.
In a recent media interaction, actress Bhumi Pednekar was asked about her weight gain and if she would do it again for any film. She said, “There is a lot of discussion about a woman when it comes to her weight. But I have got several positive responses even till today. I got a lot of positive response for my second film as well as for how I lost weight. But that should stop now because it is over and done with.”
“Well, I took three long years to shed that weight. Boys and girls have different body mechanisms. Boys may find it easy, but I found it pretty tough. Actors need to gain or lose weight depending on the characters they play, but I won’t gain 27 kgs anymore,” added the actress.
