Bhumi to head to Chambal to get into the skin of her character in ‘Sone Chidaiya’!

Bhumi Pednekar is steadily making her name in Bollywood. With three back to back hits, the 28-year-old actress has proved her worth. Known for NOT doing cliche roles, Bhumi is all set to star in Abhishek Chaubey ’s next, tentatively titled, ‘Sone Chidaiya’. She will be paired opposite Sushant Singh Rajput and the movie will go on floors from January next year. Though there’s more than a month time, the actress will travel to the film’s location, Chambal, soon just to get soaked into the character. A source close to the actress revealed, “Bhumi (Pednekar) wants to go to Chambal and prep for the film. She will be living in Chambal and be soaking in the place before she starts shooting. It is a very unique way of getting into the skin of a character. Bhumi has wowed everyone with her acting in her first three films all of which have been huge hits and she is really excited to deliver in her fourth with Abhishek.”

Chaubey, the ‘ Udta Punjab ’ director, who is all set to helm his next film, is widely known for his collaborations with Vishal Bhardwaj . Though ‘Sone Chidaiya’ is just his fourth film, the director has written dialogues for some well-acclaimed movies like, ‘The Blue Umbrella’, ‘ Omkara ’ and ‘ Kaminey ’ in the past.

Talking about working with Abhishek Chaubey , Bhumi said, “I’m super excited to be working with Abhishek. I have always adored his work and I’m thrilled to be a part of this incredible movie. His process is unique and extremely satisfying and liberating for an actor.”
