Victor Banerjee opined that the Bollywood movies have shown women in a darker light and used them as mere a sex object. This has denigrated women. Bollywood is not only destroying the country's heritage but also leading to increase in the number of molestation and rape cases in urban centers.

The international Indian actor also said that Bollywood is responsible to influence the traditional conservatism and social values. It has ended up making a hash that is neither an American culture nor Indian. The parallel cinema theory seemed absurd to Banerjee as he told that in such Indian violent movies it appears that India has a free gun license like USA. He also opined that Bengali cinema was too going the other way and copying Tamil and Telugu Movies. Only a few like Rituparno Ghosh , Aparna Sen or Gautam Ghosh made quality movies.

Victor was present for a Rally in Imphal. Victor will be seen in Yash Raj's ' Gunday '.
