'Bullett Raja' receives Rs. 1 crore for filming in Uttar Pradesh

'Bullett Raja' received Rs 1 crore for extensively filming it in Uttar Pradesh. Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav presented Rs. 1 crore to the director and producer of the film.

On Monday, the director Tigmanshu Dhulia and producer Rahul Mittra of ' Bullett Raja ' received Rs. 1 crore at the hands of the Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav for shooting a major chunk of the film in Uttar Pradesh, reportedly.

An official stated that the director and producer thanked the Chief Minister for financially assisting the film ' Bullett Raja ', which was extensively shot in Uttar Pradesh. Under the amended film policy of 2001, the filmmakers accepted the cheque of Rs. 1 crore presented to them. For the movies revolving around Uttar Pradesh's culture, lifestyle and tradition, the government has planned to offer facilities like tax rebates and financial assistance to the films that will be extensively filmed in Uttar Pradesh.

The Chief Minister said that the Uttar Pradesh government will promote the movies that invite tourism to the state and generate job opportunities. Madhuri Dixit starrer ' Dedh Ishqiya ' is also shot in Uttar Pradesh to a large extent and hence, the film is declared tax-free for three months, as per the reports.
