Sunil Grover starrer upcoming film Coffee With D will reportedly release without any cuts despite getting threat calls from the underworld. The release of movie’s trailer has invited a lot of controversy over its storyline that is about a journalist interviewing an underworld don. The release date of the film also had to be altered owing to inevitable circumstances.
“The film's producer Vinod Ramani and I started getting threat calls from the underworld ever since the trailer was launched. We're being threatened to change the dialogue of all the scenes of the character of the underworld don, which they say is in negative light. With the threats intensifying, we had no option but to lodge a police complaint. My belief in the movie has now compelled me to release the uncut (albeit CBFC certified) version irrespective of these threats,” said the director Vishal Mishra.
Produced by Apex Entertainment, the movie Coffee With D also features Zakir Hussain, Anjana Sukhani and Dipannita Sharma. The movie releases on January 20.
