Film producer Ronnie Screwvala has been known for his successful run at the UTV Motion Pictures . He has started his own production unit and has backed substantial films. Now, according to the latest reports, Swervala is set to make a film which has an interesting and touching story. He is said to make a film based on the Indian blind cricket team’s victory against Pakistan.
The film is at a very initial stage and Ronnie wants to make an announcement only after the actors and the director are finalized. The film will be narrated from the point of view of a young boy who is a slum dweller. His journey to self-discovery and how he finds his passion in the blind cricket team. Indian team’s win against Pakistan was a historic one and seeing it again on the big screen would be the icing on the cake.
Through the film, the viewers will be informed about the know-how of the blind cricket. World Blind Cricket Council (WBCC) is the governing body for blind cricket. The Indian blind cricket team is managed by the Cricket Association for the Blind in India (CABI). Currently, there are 10 full-time international teams under WBCC and team India is one of the proud members. Other teams are from Australia, Bangladesh, England, New Zealand, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, West Indies and Nepal.
