Actors Kriti Sanon and Diljit Dosanjh are all set to collaborate for the first time in the film, ‘ Arjun Patiala ’. To be directed by Rohit Jugraj and produced by Dinesh Vijan , the quirky comedy film is set to release on 13th September 2018. Apart from Diljit and Kriti, Varun Sharma , the Choocha of the ‘Fukrey’ fame will also be seen in a pivotal role. Kriti took to Twitter to announce the news, “Happy to announce that #ArjunPatiala will release on 13th September 2018!!” @diljitdosanjh @MaddockFilms @TSeries @JugrajRohit Ok lets roll!!!!! She further added, “And also thrilled to be working with my buddy bro @varunsharma90 once again!!”
The film revolves around a love story. According to a leading daily, the movie, which is a light-hearted comedy, is about the height difference between the couple. The fact that the woman is taller than the man in the relationship will form the crux of the movie with the element of humour in it.
We also hear that Sanon will play the role of a crime journalist in the movie. A source close to the actress revealed, “Kriti will be meeting some crime reporters to get into the skin of the character.”
The film is being made under the banner of Maddock Films and T-Series and will be exclusively shot in Punjab. It will roll in February 2018.
