Director Anurag Kashyap & Manoj Bajpai are geared up to premiere their film at BIFF this October!

Cine-fandom can be vaguely parted into two groups, one who like to watch Masala Movies and other who wish to watch films that have substance, and director Anurag Kashyap is a noted name in such realm. And in the latest updates, Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap ’s next production Zoo will have its world premiere at the Busan International Film Festival (BIFF)! And along with Zoo, Manoj Bajpayee ’s critically acclaimed film, In The Shadow aka Gully Guliya, also premiered at the festival!

Kashyap’s film Zoo, directed by Shlok Sharma and stars Shweta Tripathi , playing a character of a young teenager by the name of Misha Mehta! The character self- blames for an accident that happened a few years ago and she locked herself in her house to escape her emotional trauma while inclined to use drugs. The film is entirely shot on iPhone 6, rather than the conventional camera, which could alter the style of storytelling to the craft.

Whereas, In The Shadow, which is a psychological drama about a man who is trapped within the city walls and in his own mind and film will be depicting his attempts to break free to find a human connection! The film includes the cast of Ranvir Shorey , Neeraj Kabi , and Shahana Goswami along with Oscar-nominated Belgian actor Laura Verlinden, In The Shadow!

And also besides these two films, Ajji and Ashwatthama, will also be showcased in New Currents, which is BIFF’s signature competition category! The prestigious Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) is scheduled on 12th to 21st October.
