Director Rahul Rawail is all set to pen down the biopic of legendary Raj Kapoor!
Another biopic is in the pipeline, and this time, veteran director Rahul Rawail will be writing a biographical piece on legendary Raj Kapoor.

Trend or Requirement? Well, we can’t say, but these days, many Bollywood actors are busy writing their biographies or autobiographies. Some really interesting stories have come out in the form of biographies or autobiographies in the recent past. Asha Parekh and Hema Malini ’s biographies have sold millions of copies since their launch a few months ago. The latest story that just got inducted into this unconventional trend is legendary Raj Kapoor ’s biopic. Yes, you heard it right. A biopic on his life is been in the pipeline and veteran director Rahul Rawail will be writing a biographical piece based on his journey. Though Rawail is known for his direction, this time he will be penning the story of late Raj Kapoor . Rawail knows the Kapoors very closely and especially Raj Kapoor and his sons, so he has shown his interest to write about the icon.
Confirming the news, Rawail revealed to a leading daily, “That’s right. I’ve known Raj Kapoor Saab and his two sons very closely. I assisted Raj Saab and then I directed ‘Biwi O Biwi’ for the R K Films banner. I’ve been close friends of both of Raj Saab’s son Randhir and Rishi for decades. I know the family very closely. I am fascinated by his journey as an actor and a filmmaker. It is this journey I want to write about.”
Rahul Rawail has begun his groundwork and research and will soon begin writing the biography. “It is one of the biggest challenges of my career,” he further added.
