Actress turned director Divya Khosla Kumar gets honoured with Rajiv Gandhi Award for her directorial debut in 'Yaariyaan'.

Divya Khosla Kumar started of her career with modeling, soon she got a chance to appear in a music video opposite Bollywood's heartthrob Salman Khan and then next was a filmy career waiting to take off. But soon after the release of her first film ' Ab Tumhare Hawale Watan Saathiyo ', her career took a halt as she got married to Tips Films owner Bhushan Kumar . The story of this beautiful actress didn't end here, but it actually got a new start from here. Divya returned to the film industry being a director to film ' Yaariyan ', which recently won her the Rajiv Gandhi Award for excellence in her directorial debut.
' Yaariyan ' director feels honoured to receive such a huge accolade in the starting of her career and also she is proud to make her own niche place in the male dominated industry.
Divya was out of country. Therefore, her parents came receive the award on her behalf.
