BollywoodMDB has been updating our readers with all the updates regarding Tigmanshu Dhulia ’s upcoming war drama Raag Desh . The film is a period drama which is based on the National Army set up and the Red Fort trials in 1945 for India’s freedom. The posters and the teaser kept the audience hooked and now, the makers have dropped an official trailer which is 2.22 minutes of excellence. It is captivating and intriguing.
The film stars Kunal Kapoor , Mohit Marwah , and Amit Sadh in the lead. The story of the film revolves around the three officers played by the lead stars. Giving the details of the film, the makers reveal, “The first trial, that of Shah Nawaz Khan, Gurubaksh Singh Dhillon and Prem Sahgal was held between November and December 1945 against the backdrop of general elections in India with the Attorney General of India, Noshirwan P. Engineer as the chief prosecutor and two dozen counsel for the defence, led by Sir Tej Bahadur Sapru.”
“All three of the accused were charged with waging war against the king contrary to section 121 of the Indian Penal Code'. In addition, charges of murder were levelled against Dhillon and of abetment to murder against Khan and Sahgal. The defendants came from three different religions - one Hindu, one Sikh, and one Muslim - but all three elected to be defended by the defense committee set up by the Indian National Congress.”

Produced by Gurdeep Singh Sappal, the film Raag Desh will hit the theatres on July 28, 2017. The film became the first one to its trailer at India’s Parliament. The launch witnessed the presence of Gurdeep Singh Sappal, director Tigmanshu Dhulia , Mohit Marwah and Mr. Rajesh Mishra, CEO of UFO Moviez among other star cast.
