Farooq Sheikh passes away in Dubai

The veteran actor Farooq Sheikh expired on Friday night due heart attack. The 65-year old actor was loved by one and all for his ever-smiling nature.

The veteran Bollywood actor Farooq Sheikh breathed his last on Friday night in Dubai. The 65-year old actor died due to heart attack and one of his family members confirmed the news by saying "He has passed away". No other details have been disclosed yet.

Farooq Sheikh was the iconic star, who left an unforgettable impression on viewers' mind with the films like ' Chashme Baddoor ', 'Garm Hava', 'Shatranj Ke Khiladi', ' Kissise Na Kehna ' and many more. Sheikh was in Dubai for a concert, when he suffered the heart attack. Post completing the formalities, the actor's body will be brought to Mumbai.

Farooq Sheikh has done a valuable contribution in films, theatre and television. The 1973 release 'Garm Hava' was his debut film in Bollywood. Sheikh worked with the eminent personas like Satyajit Ray , Hrishikesh Mukherjee , Muzaffar Ali and many more. The actor had the knack of simplifying the complex scenes in the films. For the film ' Lahore ', Sheikh received National Film Award for Best Supporting Actor in the year 2010. His television series also gained success like "Jeena Isi Ka Naam Hai", in which he interviewed several celebrities. As a person, he was very helpful by nature with an ever-smiling face. Recently, he essayed Ranbir Kapoor 's father in the film ' Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani ' and his latest release ' Club 60 ' earned praises from the critics as well as from the audience.
