Filmmaker Karan Johar to don a negative role in ‘Boom Boom In New York’!
Karan Johar to have a double role in ‘Boom Boom In New York’ and one of the roles will have grey shade.

Ace filmmaker-producer Karan Johar has entertained us with his moviemaking skills but in the past few years, he has started appearing in movies as well. After acting in a few movies, Karan will now be seen in an upcoming multi-starrer film, ‘ Boom Boom In New York ’. BBINY is a comedy flick but will have Karan in a double-role and one of it will have grey shade. That’s right; Karan, who played the lead antagonist in Anurag Kashyap 's ' Bombay Velvet ', is all set to do a negative role for the second time. A source told a leading daily, "Acting comes naturally to Karan, and he is going to surprise everyone with this film. He will not just be seen in a double role but will also be seen in a negative role in the film."
The film is stage reality genre film and revolves around real actors and the award show (IIFA) and what happens at the Red Carpet and at the actual award function. The comedy flick is directed by Chakri Toleti and will be released in 3D on 23rd February 2018. Produced by Vashu Bhagnani and Wiz Films, BBINY has an ensemble cast that features, director-producer Karan Johar , Sonakshi Sinha , Punjabi superstar Diljit Dosanjh , Lara Dutta , Boman Irani , Riteish Deshmukh and many more.
Lara Dutta had also confirmed the development by saying, "We have been shooting in New York and it's been a madhouse with amazing energy on the sets. I'm very excited to be a part of this film. Also, for the first time, we are exploring a new genre of stage reality film.”
