It is one of the well-known facts that Aamir Khan will never be present at any Bollywood Award ceremonies or let alone accepting any awards for the performance he deserves. Even when producers were asked to submit a snippet of the film nominated, to play while nominations being announced, Aamir Khan Production doesn't even bother to send any clip to the authorizes. Aamir started such level of boycotting ever since he didn’t receive the award for best actor for his performance in Rangeela , back in 1995! But for once, he made an exception and accepted felicitation, so what if it is not for his performance in the film!
Apparently, Aamir attended an honorary men's award function in Mumbai, was bestowed with honor and books by the young achiever Poorna Malavath. Aamir could not refuse the honor presented by Poorna and he graciously accepted the award for Creative Maverick of the year. Indeed, Aamir was utterly fascinated with the achievement of Poorna Malavath and that too at such age.
And just in case if you don’t know about Poorna Malavath, she was the youngest mountain climber who climbed Mount Everest at the age of 13 years and 10 months. And she was also the inspiration behind the inspirational film Poorna: Courage Has No Limit, which was directed by Rahul Bose! As for Aamir Khan , he is busy these days for the promotion of his upcoming production venture, Secret Superstar which will be releasing this October 19th on Diwali!
