Fukrey Returns makers push the release of the film to 15th December!

Fukrey Returns , which is a sequel to the 2013 hit film Fukrey , was all set to release on 8th December. But if latest reports are to be believed, the makers of the much-awaited film have postponed its release by one week. Now, the comic-caper will hit screens on 15th December, instead of 8th December.

Featuring an ensemble star cast of Pulkit Samrat , Ali Fazal , Manjot Singh , Varun Sharma , Priya Anand , Richa Chadda and Vishakha Singh in principal roles, Fukrey returns starts off from where Fukrey ended. The whole team of the film is the same; the only difference is that this time around they are coming up with double fun and more craziness.

Everyone was waiting for the release of the film for a long time now, but a one week delay in its release has made us wait a bit longer. Though no official confirmation has come out stating why the film has been pushed, sources close to the film reveal that Sanjay Leela Bhansali 's magnum opus Padmavati , starring Deepika Padukone , Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor , has caused this delay. Padmavati was earlier scheduled to come in November but then its release was shifted to December 1. Seeing the unprecedented response the trailer and the first song have received, it is certain the film is going to have a magical run at the ticket window. In this scenario, releasing Fukrey Returns right after one week would not have been a good idea.
