Today Hema Malini releases her first devotional album- "Soundaryalahiri" with Times Music.

Hema Malini have always remain loyal to her cultural roots. Right from donning traditional Kanjivaram sarees to performing classical Bharatnatyam dance, she has readily vitrine Indian culture. And now, after being a successful actress, dancer, politician and director, today she puts one more feather to her hat by releasing her first devotional album- "Soundaryalahiri".
Soundaryalahiri's sacred lyrics are penned by Adi Shankaracharya and the musical notes are set by Ashit Desai. Where the verses are chanted by Hema Malini , Shankar Mahadevan , Suresh Wadkar and Desai. Also, the epic has roped in Amitabh Bachchan , who will be heard giving the album's introduction.
Hailing from traditional Tamil Brahmin family Hema Malini has grown up listening to the sacred verses Soundaryalahiri and now, she wishes to offer the holy chant to others with this album. She has dedicated her devotional album to the divine goddess Tripurasundari.
Hema Malini 's Soundaryalahiri is exclusively available on Times Music all across the major music and retail stores. Album's digital downloads are also available on music websites.
