Veteran actress Sridevi ’s film Mom has been in news ever since its official announcement. The film also stars eminent actors Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Akshaye Khanna in key roles! The movie released today i.e. on 7 July, 2017 in the theatres for the fans and cine-lovers. Mom touches an important subject and features the actress in a powerful role. The latest update claims that the movie has received a wide release in Pakistan!
After the sensitive phase faced by both the countries, the movies and film industries were largely affected. Hence, the release of certain films and many artists were banned. But, Mom managed to get as many as 105 screens in the major cities of Pakistan, which is a positive sign for the makers when it comes to box-office concerns. The reason for this is definitely Sridevi ’s huge fan following even across the border. The other factors are two Pakistani actors Adnan Siddiqui who plays Sridevi ’s husband, and Sajal Ali who plays her daughter, their presence aided the process.
Also, the film touches a very significant subject and its depiction is cinematic brilliance. The posters that were used in Pakistan highlight the two Pakistani actors along with Sridevi unlike here in India. Salman Khan’s last release Tubelight could not open in the neighboring country due to the war backdrop and two major releases in their country. Receiving such a wide release equals more profits for the makers.
