Hollywood VFX firm cheats the makers of ‘2.0’; team plans to take legal action!
The makers of ‘2.0’ are planning to take legal actions on a Hollywood based VFX company on the grounds of cheating.

Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar starrer ‘ 2.0 ’ has already been postponed twice. The makers are done shooting for the film and now waiting for the completion of post-production. The film, which has now been pushed to the April release, has upset the other filmmakers from the South. As Rajini’s film was slated to release on Republic Day next year, other southern filmmakers had booked suitable dates in April. Now, when this magnum opus has been pushed to April, there has been some tension building up between ‘ 2.0 ’s and other filmmakers. According to latest media reports, a popular VFX studio failed to complete the special effect work within the promised date, forcing the producers to postpone ‘ 2.0 ’. This delay from the VFX company has put the makers of ‘ 2.0 ’ in no other option than suing them and taking legal action against them.
A source close to the Lyca Productions revealed to a leading portal, “The VFX delivery has been gravely defaulted by a US company that took on the task of doing the entire special effects of our film. So, we had to pull out 1000 shots from the film and send it off to 10 different VFX companies, 100 shots to each! This meant a great deal of criminal delay. In fact, I will tell you the truth, they’ve cheated us and we’re now planning to take elaborate legal action against them.”
If everything goes well, then only Shankar ’s grand film will release in April next year.
