After hanging his claws once and for all from the Logan franchise, actor Hugh Jackman finally has more films to offer to his ever-growing fandom, and the first film would be an inspirational musical drama, The Greatest Showman, which would be inspired by the ambition and imagination of P.T. Barnum, celebrating journey of entrepreneurship and the journey from rags to riches! And based on the first impression of the trailer, it looks spectacular and enticing!
The trailer begins with the narration that tell us about Hugh’ losing a steady bank job and his struggle to retrieve his confidence. In midst of this restless time, his is hit with an idea to start with his own circus, to entertain people. And this film will be a visionary’s journey from a mere idea to full fledge dream come true. Although this wouldn’t be the first time Hugh Jackman will be doing a musical, we can say he is returning to this genre after a long time, as last musical he did was Les Misérables in 2012, for which he was nominated for Academy Awards.
The film The Greatest Showman, is directed with Michael Gracey and rest of the cast also includes Michelle Williams, Zac Efron and Zendaya. Music and original score is the soul of musical plays and films, and to be on point on that note, makers roped in Benj Pasek and Justin Paul who previously worked on La La Land and won Acadamy Award for it. The film is set to release in India in December this year!
