As it was earlier reported that ' Issaq ' a film by Manish Tiwary is based on 'Romeo And Juliet' is a contemporary take on Shakespeare's tragic drama. The director has added some additional twists in the story to make it interesting. According to the director, he has added more antagonists in the story to make it more appealing.
In a personal interview, the director Manish Tiwary said that , he want to attempt something and add a unique twist in the story. He want to give a new angle to it. Tiwary said that the thought of enhancing the story struck him when the film was in the scripting stage. He said that they have started adapting a new angle on this love story.
In this tragic love story, Prateik Babbar and Amyra Dastur will play the two unfortunate lovers. The director said that he realised that the lovers and the story needed more antagonists to oppose the love, hence added more antagonists to the story. The love story will be showcased in a background of Banaras. The director has a reason for this as well. According to him, Banaras is the city which still believes in following more tradition values and have more orthodox mindset. It still has some feudal system followers so the story and the opposition to the love of the two youngsters can be justified.
