Actress Jacqueline Fernandez is on a roll these days. Her recent release Judwaa 2 is going pretty strong at the box office and now she is looking forward to teaming up with Salman Khan again for the action-thriller film Race 3. The latest we hear that the actress has also been signed to play the female lead in the Hindi remake of a popular Hollywood movie, The Girl On The Train. If reports are true, Fernandez will step into the shoes of Emily Blunt.
Reportedly, Ribhu Dasgupta , who made Amitabh Bachchan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui starrer Te3N , has purchased the remake rights of the film. He has been writing the script of the film for the past few months. Recently, he signed Jacqueline to play the female lead in it.
Talking about the same to a daily, the director said, “I have just finished the script. Jackie has come on board as the protagonist. While the novel had an ensemble cast, our film will revolve around her character. I have been looking forward to working with her and this seemed like a perfect project to collaborate. You get together to make a film when people think alike in many ways and when I had met her I discovered we were on the same page.”
According to a source, “The film will be set in a small town but the makers are yet to figure whether they will be filming in India or abroad. Ribhu and his team will begin their recce soon and will start prepping up with Jacqueline by the year-end.”
