'JohnDay': A blood-soaked pacy thriller

' A Wednesday! ' was one of his masterpieces and now, the director Anjum Rizvi is eyeing a bigger thing with the dramatic mystery thriller ' JohnDay '. This time, K Asif and Aatef A Khan will also join Anjum Rizvi in this venture. Directed by Ahishor Solomon , ' JohnDay ' contains the veteran actor like Naseeruddin Shah and the polished actor, Randeep Hooda . Naseeruddin Shah is the real life mentor of Randeep Hooda , who considers him as his 'guru'. And one can guess how it would have been tough for Randeep to aim a gun on his real life mentor while filming for ' JohnDay '.

The filmmaker Rizvi mentions that Randeep was the ultimate choice for this role, as the character was expected to be without any morals and humanity quotient. For playing the protagonist, we needed a veteran persona, who possesses some kind of athleticism and we zeroed upon Naseeruddin Shah , said Rizvi. However, getting Naseeruddin to essay this role was not at all a cakewalk, revealed Anjum Rizvi . This pacy-thriller is also enriched with the enticing content and striking character performances by 'Guru-Shishya jodi', empowering the movie. Rizvi also added that the performances by the other supporting starcast like Makarand Deshpande , Vipin Sharma and Bharat Dabholkar take the film to a greater level. The filmmakers are optimistic regarding their upcoming venture and they say, if you liked ' A Wednesday! ', you will love ' JohnDay '.
