For number of decades, Kamal Haasan has dazzled the silver screen by delivering outstanding performances. Where, he started off as a child-artist, he went to exceed as one of the India's finest star. Kamal didn't only excelled as an actor, but has explored different spectrum of cinemas, by being a producer, director, screenwriter, lyricist, playback singer and a choreographer. Well, he is the bundle of art, who has given his sheer contribution, beyond 50 years to Indian cinema. Therefore, to felicitate his work, 15th Mumbai Film Festival (MFF) will be conferring him with "Lifetime Achievement Award".
At a press conference, the chairman of Mumbai Academy of Moving Images (MAMI), Shyam Benegal revealed that the board will be presenting life-time achievement award to Kamal Haasan and French filmmaker, Costa Gavras.
Haasan leaves a strong impact on his audiences mind. Whether it be a serious role of affectionate, Somu in ' Sadma ' or a hilarious performance as Laxmi Chachi in ' Chachi 420 ', he owes praises for his perfection.
The fest commenced on 17th October, will also pay tribute to phenomenal late personalities like, Yash Chopra , Rituparno Ghosh and Pran . The festival will mark the screening of 200 films from 65 nations.
