It was reported a day back that several Muslim organizations in Chennai had asked for ban on the film ' Vishwaroop ' on the pretext that it may cause social disharmony. The Tamil Nadu government responded to this by asking all the district administrations to ban the film for two weeks for maintaining law and order.

However, Kamal Haasan has responded to this by stating that he would fight this, what he calls 'cultural terrorism' through legal ways. He also stated that though he I glad about the support his film has received, he was also sad with the fact that his film is being misconceived to be anti-Muslim. He further said that he has had always supported the community and has worked for an organization called 'Harmony India' that has strived for Hindu Muslim unity.

He further clarified that any patriotic Muslim will like his movie as it was made with that intent. He then said that he will move on with logic and will take the legal course to counter the 'cultural terrorism'.

' Vishwaroop ' is a trilingual film directed and produced by Kamal Haasan who plays the role of the titled protagonist and also stars Shekhar Kapur , Rahul Bose , Jaideep Ahlawat , Pooja Kumar and Andrea Jeremiah .
