Kangana Ranaut chewed Gutkha and Paan at Kothas for 'Rajjo'
To get into the intensity of her role of \'mujrewali\', Kangana Ranaut went off the track by visiting Kothas and chewing gutkha for \'Rajjo\'.

Curly Kangana Ranaut goes way par to fit into the skin of her character in the film. Whether it be declining drug-addict supermodel in ' Fashion ' or a spoil brat in ' Tanu Weds Manu ', she has readily won your heart with her performances. And for her next movie too, she has done ample amount of homework to get it right on-screen. For the role of mujrewali in her upcoming flick ' Rajjo ', the actress went on to research at the prohibited Kothas, which means red-light areas.
' Rajjo ' is picturised at the backdrop of 'mujra' house, where Kangana plays a mujra dancer. Therefore, for research, she went on to real brothels of Mumbai to grab the body language and mannerism of the women present there, where she interacted with those ladies and even reddened her mouth by chewing paan and gutkhas to seep in the accuracy of her outburst role. As she knows, playing mujrewali is not just a skin-show, but she has to get out of her urban-style and attempt some entirely new things.
Directed by Vishwas Patil , ' Rajjo ' is the peculiar story of a Muslim brothel girl and Brahmin teenager boy. Not only Kangna, even Mahesh Manjrekar has undergone the transformation by wearing sarees and flaunting long hair to play eunuch in the film.
