Kangana Ranaut to revive traditional "Mujra" in 'Rajjo'

With Bollywood completing its 100 years of prosperity, B-Town has seen a lot of transformation in itself. With the actors, performances, genres, theme receiving drastic makeovers as like soothing songs being remixed for peppy tracks, as an instance. It is mainly dance that haven't applied change at large.

With other dance forms getting added by a touch of fusion, it's the ultimate "mujra" that cherished its pure essence as its gem. "Mujra" has been a part of the industry since long, right from veterans Vyajantimala , Madhubala , Rekha , Meena Kumari to recent bombshells Madhuri Dixit , Aishwarya Rai , Rani Mukherjee and Kareena Kapoor have been capable of taking the legacy forward.

Considered of the past, the "mujras" performed by Madhubala , Rekha and Meena Kumari , all had a delicate grace crafted with their beautiful eyes and smooth moves. As the legacy ran forward, the successors added their own touch, with Madhuri had it all uttered by her mesmerizing eyes, Rani had it through her sheer grace. Her next ' Rajjo ' which is based upon a life of a 'tawaif' (courtesan), will see the beauty dancing to the ultimate dance form, 'mujra'. According to the sources, as a sheer perfectionist she is, Kangana Ranaut went under immense dance training to come out strong with the character. The actress that is widely to be seen performing this art, mastered her performance under the ace Kathak performer Rajendra Chaturvedi.

' Rajjo ', the tale of a courtesan falling in love with a minor is all set to release on 15th of November, 2013. The film directed by Vishwas Patil also features Mahesh Manjrekar essaying a pivotal role, merely in an unconventional avatar.
