Karan Johar announced his next ‘Dhadak’, introducing Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter!
The much awaited ‘Sairat’ remake has been finally announced by Dharma Productions’ head honcho Karan Johar.

After a long wait of many months, Karan Johar has finally announced the debut film of Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khattar , titled ‘ Dhadak ’. Along with announcing the title of the romantic flick, Dharma Productions ’ head also unveiled the first poster of the movie. ‘ Dhadak ’ is a remake of the Marathi super hit film ‘Sairat’. The Hindi remake stars Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter in the lead role. The news of Sridevi ’s daughter, Jhanvi Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor ’s brother, Ishaan Khatter , doing this remake was not hidden from anyone but now finally Karan himself has made the big announcement. Karan first made a video about the big announcement and an hour after that, he unveiled the first poster of ‘ Dhadak ’
In a video posted on Instagram, Karan speaks how 5 years back Alia, Varun, and Sidharth did their debut in ‘ Student Of The Year ’ and where have they reached now. He further said, now two new actors are going to be a part of the Dharma Productions family and the new film which is tentative to be titled ‘ Dhadak ’ will be helmed by Shashank Khaitan who directed the super hit ‘ Badrinath Ki Dulhania ’.
Though this will be the debut of Janhvi, Ishaan will be first seen in ‘ Beyond The Clouds ’ by Majid Majidi . We know Karan’s film is a remake of Sairat, but the plot of ‘ Dhadak ’ will be set in Haryana, though the basic premise of caste-divide will be the same.
‘ Dhadak ’ will hit screens on 6th July 2018.
