Karan Johar becomes first Indian filmmaker to be waxed at Madame Tussauds!

So far, only Indian actors, politicians and sportspersons had their live wax figures in Madame Tussauds.

After delivering back to back blockbusters in the last 20 plus years and touching millions of hearts through his films, actor, director, and producer, Karan Johar will now have his own wax statue at the Madame Tussauds Museum, London. So far, Madame Tussauds only had live figures of actors, politicians and sportspersons and with his astonishing achievements, Karan becomes the first Indian filmmaker to have his statue at the prestigious museum.

Karan shared the news on Twitter, captioning, “Honoured to be the first filmmaker from India at the prestigious @MadameTussauds ...thank you to the entire team in London who worked tirelessly ...will have further details about when and where soon!!! #MadameTussauds #iifamadametusaauds”

KJo’s live figure will get ready in next six months.

On the work front, the My Name Is Khan director has a bunch of movies lined up for release in the next two years. Karan’s first production of the year is Alia Bhatt starrer Raazi . He then has Ishaan Khatter and Janhvi Kapoor’s Dhadak . In the second half of 2018, Karan is producing Tarun Mansukhani’s Drive , followed by Student Of The Year 2 and Rohit Shetty’s Simmba . Apart from these films, he has Netflix’s short film, Lust Stories.

The above mentioned films are his 2018’s projects. For the next year, he has Abhishek Varman’s Kalank , Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra , Akshay Kumar’s Kesari and Varun Dhawan’s Rannbhoomi .
