Karan Johar signs Kiara Advani as the female lead for his first comedy flick!

A few days ago BollywoodMDB informed our readers that ace producer-director, Karan Johar , is going to make his first ever comedy film. Though it is going to be one of the quartets in the four-part film, the short film will be a whole and sole comedy-drama. Karan, who has already signed talented Vicky Kaushal for the film, has now got his female lead. The director has roped in the ‘ M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story ’ fame, Kiara Advani , for his untitled comedy flick. As we know the main cast of the film, we have also learnt that Karan’s close friend, Neha Dhupia , will be seen doing a special appearance in it.

Talking about the film, a source close to the director-producer revealed to a leading newspaper, “Like the rest, Karan’s film too deals with the themes of love and lust. While the other filmmakers, who were also a part of Bombay Talkies, have already completed their respective movies, Karan is the last one to shoot. His film goes on the floors in the first week of December and will be filmed in Mumbai.”

Like ‘ Bombay Talkies ’, apart from Karan Johar , this film too has Anurag Kashyap , Zoya Akhtar and Dibakar Banerjee in the list of other directors. Anurag’s film features Radhika Apte and Aakash Thosar of ‘Sairat’ fame, Manisha Koirala and Sanjay Kapoor have shot for Dibakar’s film. While Zoya’s film features Bhumi Pednekar , Neil Bhoopalam and Rasika Duggal .

Though the release date of the film has not been revealed yet, it’s sure that it will give a boost to careers of both Kiara and Vicky.
