The ' Agneepath ' debutant director Karan Malhotra is keeping his fingers crossed nowadays. Why? The reason is that he has much hopes bound with the upcoming film ' Gippi ' under Karan Johar 's banner. Malhotra desires to illustrate that Karan Johar 's banner can develop great quality of low-budget movies.
K Jo is usually famous for his super-budget, posh, glossy and big star studded movies. Johar has earlier prepared plenty of larger than life dramas, such as ' Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham ', ' Kuch Kuch Hota Hai ', ' My Name is Khan ', ' Kal Ho Naa Ho ' and many more.
Karan Johar got candid with media saying that this is the first time Dharma Productions is coming up with such a film with a completely diverse genre. The only thing that Dharma intends to show is that they can design super quality of movies in small budget, but with a strong content. Karan expressed his views to the media at the special screening of the film ' Gippi ' on Tuesday.
The movie is directed by a debutant director Sonam Nair . The Delhi student Riya Vij stars in the lead role of this film and B-Town actress Divya Dutta would be enacting her mother.
' Gippi ' is all geared up to hit the theatres on May 10.
