Kareena Kapoor Khan to play the lead in the Hindi remake of Aapla Manus?

Early this month, for the first time, actor Ajay Devgn stepped in the Marathi cinema and produced a film, Aapla Manus. The movie was directed by Satish Rajwade and starred Nana Patekar , Iravati Harshe and Sumeet Raghavan in lead roles. The Marathi film was itself inspired by Paresh Rawal 's play, Dear Father and now, it is all set to be remade in Hindi. Reportedly, the Hindi remake will be done by Ashutosh Gowariker and he wants Kareena Kapoor Khan to play the female lead. The actress has not appeared in films since her pregnancy but now, she has started shooting for her next film, Veere Di Wedding . After VDW, she might possibly be seen in the Hindi remake of the Marathi film.

Now we hear that she is close to signing her next project as a report in a leading daily state that the actress has had quite a few meetings with filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker . He is trying to get her to sign the Hindi remake of Marathi film, Aapla Manus. The report further states that Kareena is very close to signing this project as she is waiting for her co-stars and the script to be finalised.

Aapla Manus is a story of a young couple living in an urban area. The couple lives with the father of the man. They are trying to understand the complexities of the relationship and at the same time, they are trying to cope with the urban life. Some unexpected incident happens in their life that changed their beliefs and way of living.

The movie has 3 leads and apart from Bebo, no names concerned the male actors have popped up yet.
