There a lot being said about the casting process of Gustakhiyan! It is one of the ambitious projects of acclaimed filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali and it seems like Bhansali is having a hard luck when it comes to casting for the film. At first, Priyanka Chopra walked out of the project! Meanwhile, Abhishek Bachchan is cast to play the leading role. And as per latest updates, Kartik Aaryan refused a role in Gustakhiyan!
Apparently, Kartik Aaryan sidelined the role due to work commitments for an upcoming film with Luv Ranjan and post that he couldn’t make out a time to devote for the Gustakhiyan. Although we can take this reason to be genuine, as so far Kartik Aaryan ’s career trajectory hasn’t been lifted off properly, considering the fact Guest Iin London pretty much bombed at the box office. And also, the fact his equation with Luv Ranjan been successful so far!
As for Gustakhiyan, it is a real-life love story based on the life of legendary saints Sahir Ludhianvi and Amrita Pritam, who fell in love despite being committed to their life partners. Indeed, a love triangle, but we trust Sanjay Leela Bhansali ’s perception, it would be poetic and colorful rendition of the story. Apparently, Kartik Aaryan was offered the role of Amrita Pritam’s husband, that he refused! Now, filmmakers of Gustakhiyan have to put double efforts to hunt for leading lady and her husband!
