Know more about Arun Gawli, before you plan to see Daddy in theatres tomorrow!

The masses were intrigued when Arjun Rampal announced his upcoming project, which is produced, written and has him in leading role and, is based on the life of ex-gangster turned politician Arun Gawli, really stunned everyone. And the speculations were well answered with the first trailer of the film Daddy ! Now makers of Daddy shared a video telling how Arjun Rampal shaped and mold himself to be able to put himself in the shoes of Arun Gawli.

The preparation started with Arjun losing 11kgs of weight, he learned how Arun Gawli used to walk, talk and his mannerism, without looking imitative on screen. And to be perfect, Arjun brought Italian prosthetic make-up experts to perfect his Gawli avatar, which mostly takes at least 2 hours to put on, except the time they have to remove if something went wrong.

There are many obvious assumptions we as viewers could have when we hear about a gangster, and such obvious reaction would be ruthless, notorious and true evil. Although Arun Gawli had possessed that side too but considering the love and affection he received from this reign Dagadi Chawl. Even Arjun Rampal shared so many good words for him after doing character research for the film and some rare time when two met in person, Arjun said “Gawli is the person who is rational, intelligent, compassionate, soft-spoken, man of mannerism and actual cool about over someone taking liberty to make a film based his life. Arjun revealed the fact Arun Gawli is also well aware of Maratha history! No there isn’t any doubt what made Arjun Rampal was so intrigued by such a character.

The film is directed by Ashim Ahluwalia and it is co-written and produced by Arjun Rampal . The cast includes Farhan Akhtar , Anand Ingale , Rajesh Shringarpure , Mir Sarwar and Aishwarya Rajesh . And the film will be released on tomorrow 8th September!
