Eros International , a leading Indian film entertainment industry global company, announced Rajinikanth starrer ' Kochadaiiyaan ' to have received blockbuster opening weekend at the box office with whopping Rs 42 crore gross worldwide, reportedly.
' Kochadaiiyaan ' was released on May 23 in 2D and 3D format in six languages and over 3000 screens worldwide. The film attracted crowds due to Rajinikanth 's stellar performance and the photo-realistic motion capture technology used first time in India. The film performed well in Malaysia, UAE and Singapore. ' Kochadaiiyaan ' collected Rs 30 crore gross in India over its opening weekend, while it garnered around 12 crore overseas. The flick is on its way to cross an enormous amount over its pre-sales from audio and music rights exploitation, brand tie ups, satellite rights in various languages and the other income.
