KriArj Entertainment ropes in Jackky Bhagnani for their next 'Anandwaa'!

KriArj Entertainment is on a movie production spree. Almost every other week, they make an announcement regarding their new film. After Fanne Khan and Batti Gul Meter Chalu , KriArj has now announced a new venture, titled Anandwaa. The makers have signed actor Jackky Bhagnani for the film, which will be a comic satire and explores the journey of a man who chooses to handle a life altering situation with humour rather than gloom.
Producer Prernaa Arora says, "Jackky was our first choice because we felt he would be able to portray the role of Anandwaa to perfection. There is a sensitivity required with the right comic timing which Jackky is very good at. He is someone I have believed in from day one and he is very hard working. We are very excited about this project and the film goes on the floors early 2018."
Screenwriter and director Abir Sengupta, who made his debut with Bengali film 'Jomer Raja Dilo Bor', has been signed to helm the project.
Director and writer Abir Sengupta adds, "I have written this script as a homage to the cult classic Anand and it's in no way a remake. It's about the journey of a common man Anandwaa who learns to make the most of his life after dealing with a life-altering situation"
To be entirely shot in Mumbai, the film will start rolling in Feb 2018.
