Bollywood diva Deepika Padukone has launched the Live Love Laugh Foundation which is an organisation that combats against mental illness and depression. We had informed our readers about the high tea hosted by Deepika to discuss about the prevalent problems regarding the issue in the country.
Ms Padukone's NGO launch was a super successful event that witnessed the presence of eminent personalities from the political, social and film world. CM Devendra Fadnavis also marked his presence to the event and gave a mission to Deepika and it's to engage with the farmers in the country against the backdrop of agrarian crisis. Other attendees include: producer Ronnie Screwvala , Kiran Rao , Gauri Shinde , Rajat Sharma, director Shoojit Sircar , Vidhu Vinod Chopra with wife Anupama Chopra, Mohan Agashe , Aditya Thakre and Nita Ambani among others. The event was held at Palladium Hotel in Mumbai.
Deepika considers it extremely important to spread awareness about mental health. During the launch the actress stated that "We need to stigmatize mental illness and spread awareness about mental health. I know in the current scenario we lead stressful lives but you have to keep reminding yourself that it is important to live, love and laugh. After all that is what life is all about."
