Satya, the 20-year old son of the ace filmmaker-actor Mahesh Manjrekar is going to debut in an upcoming Marathi movie titled 'Janiva'. The film has started rolling from March 3 and will be helmed by Rajesh Ranshinge, reportedly. It will be a narrative of five friends.
Satya talked about his debut in the film industry by saying that "My character, Sameer Deshpande, is a fun-loving teenager. But the film has a strong social message which I cannot reveal now,". Prior to this, Satya featured in Shahid Kapoor starrer ' Vaah! Life Ho To Aisi ', when he was 7-year old as well as at the age of 16 years, he starred in Mahesh Manjrekar 's directorial 'Me Shivajiraje Bhosle Boltoy'. Talking about his debut flick, Satya revealed that "I was surprised and happy when Rajesh signed me. There's a lot of singing and dancing and some mara maari too! I've been taking dance classes for the last one year and dad is teaching me the nuances of acting,"
Satya's sister Sai also featured in the recent Marathi super hit film 'Kaksparsh' directed by their father. Satya had a word about his sister's career plans by saying that "At 12, she keeps changing her mind about her choice of career, but I've decided I'll become an actor." Satya hopes to star in one of the Hindi films by his father very soon.
