Malayali Superstar Dulquer Salmaan will be making Bollywood debut with Irrfan Khan!
Along with Dulquer Salmaan, YouTube sensation Mithila Palkar will also be debuting, the film produced by UTV Motion Pictures!

Though there are rare incidences that a rising superstar of Malayalam film fraternity tries his hands on Bollywood film, so far, the track record is pretty outstanding! The last Malayali star goes grace a Bollywood film was Prithviraj Sukumaran in comedy film Aiyyaa , which was a commercial flop but ladies went crazy over Prithviraj. Next addition to the list is Dulquer Salmaan popularly known as DQ is all set to make his debut in Bollywood films with yet to be titled film, alongside Irrfan Khan and also be debuting YouTube sensation Mithila Palkar and this film will be produced by Ronnie Screwvala .
For those who don’t know who DQ is, despite being son of Malayali superstar Mammootty, he made his star status with notable hits like ABCD: American-Born Confused Desi, Neelakasham Pachakadal Chuvanna Bhoomi, Bangalore Days and a Tamil film directed by Mani Ratnam titled O Kadhal Kanmani, which was remade in Bollywood by Karan Johar ’ Ok Jaanu . Indeed, Dulquer is a huge deal in Malayali Film industry and it would be interesting to how his debut will be pursued in Bollywood and its fans.
The film will be directed by actor-screenplay writer turned director Akarsh Khurana who has previously worked behind the screen on Krrish 3 and Kites . It would be interesting to see how this equation and story of the film turn out to be! More updates will be featured on BollywoodMDB, stay tuned!
