In the past, several films have been made that were inspired by the real life personalities. Till date many heroes have played the character that resembled real life cops.

Once again rumour is rife that in the upcoming movie ' Maximum ', Sonu Sood is playing a cop that is based on the real life of Pradeep Sharma , who has served the Mumbai police for approximately 25 years and has earned fame for the successful 'encounter killings' of nearly 112 criminals. He was one of the prominent officers of the Mumbai Encounter Squad.

According to a source, which is very close to the movie, Sonu Sood 's character is based entirely on Pradeep Sharma . The source also revealed that the director Kabeer Kaushik and the actor Sonu Sood have taken Pradeep Sharma into complete confidence in order to get the details so that they can portray the character and the story correctly.

The real cop has chosen to provide the factual details without coming out in the open. Both Kabeer Kaushik and Sonu Sood have refrained from any comment when asked about the similarity between the real life cop Pradeep and the reel cop Sonu in ' Maximum '.
