New film on Satyajit Ray's short story.

Veteran director late Satyajit Ray whom we have seen making legends like Pather Panchali, Devi and many other masterpieces ,has written one other great literary work 'Patol Babu Film Star.' Veteran director Dibakar Banerjee is all set to make a movie on this great literary work of this great director.
Dibankar who previously directed different movies like ' Khosla Ka Ghosla ',' Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye! ',' Love, Sex Aur Dhoka ' and ' Shanghai ' , want to work on a different and unique script. The short by Ray is an emotional story about a very tender relationship between a father and a son. The original short story has a Bengali background, but Dibankar has changed the background to the Marathi middle class family who lives in Dadar. The name of the film is 'Star'.
Confirming this change, the producer of the film Ashim Duha said that, "We have changed the background from Bengali to Marathi. We have given it a flavour of local Marathi . The star cast of the film is Sadashiv Amrapurkar and Nawazuddin Siddiqui '." The film will be released on 3rd May.
This short film will feature in a joint venture of different skilled directors in the B-town, including Anurag Kashyap , Zoya Akhtar , Karan Johar and Dibakar Banerjee . This joint effort is named as ' Bombay Talkies ' which is organized to celebrate the golden 100 years of Indian Cinema.
