Nikhil Advani to direct 'Hero' remake
Nikhil Advani has been finalised to direct \'Hero\' remake, which will be a debut film for actors, Sooraj Pancholi and Athiya Shetty.

It seems espionage thriller, ' D-Day ' has handed director Nikhil Advani the big ticket to direct another big project ' Hero ' remake. This film will be a launch pad for newbies Sooraj Pancholi and Athiya Shetty . Nikhil is assigned to bring out best from these two debutantes, for which he is going to put them under rigorous workshops.
A source close to the project said that, the ' Hero ' remake will be slightly different from the original one. Sooraj's character of Kishen will be far more edgy and darker than that played by Jackie's Kishen. Although, Athiya's character will be similar to the one played by Meenakshi Sheshadri . Nikhil even intends to rewrite entire script and characters to suit present scenario. But some of the original music will be included to stick to that musical theme.
The original ' Hero ' was musical blockbuster of 1983 by Subhash Ghai , which did wonders to the careers of Jackie Shroff and Meenakshi Sheshadri . Hope to see the same ' Hero ' magic to work in favor for these debutantes in ' Hero ' remake.
