The trend of making biopics of famous personalities in the air and the iron lady of India, late Indira Gandhi will also appear enlivened on the silver screen soon. Filmmaker Natty Kumar who has directed the 2011 flick 'Tum Ho Yaara' is currently working on the biopic of Indira Gandhi. It is reported that the filmmaker is aiming big for the biopic and wants the Oscar winning Hollywood actress Susan Sarandon to play the title role in his film.
The filmmaker was talking to the media in a candid chit chat and said that it was his long cherished dream to make a biopic on the most powerful lady politician of India i.e Indira Gandhi. Natty Kumar's hindi directorial debut was 'Tum Ho Yaara' which was the remake of a Tamil film named 'Pani Thulli'. The film featured Tamil actor Ganesh Venkatraman .
The biopic has been tentatively titled as 'Iron Lady Indira Gandhi'. The film will be made in Hindi, English and Tamil language. According to the filmmaker, Susan Sarandon is perfect to play the powerful character of Indira Gandhi. Susan Sarandon is a famous Hollywood actress who is a winner of best actress in the prestigious Academy Awards in 1995 for her performance in the film 'Dead Man Walking'. Her other famous films are 'Stepmom' ,'Bull Durhum' ,'Thelma & Louise' and 'The Client'.
