One of the favourite Bahus of television, Dipika Kakar, to debut in Bollywood with JP Dutt’s ‘Paltan’!
After Mouni Roy and Ankita Lokhande, TV actress Dipika Kakar will mark her debut on the silver screen with JP Dutt’s ‘Paltan’.

After the television hunks, it’s time for the small screen Bahus to make their big Bollywood debut. We know that Mouni Roy and Ankita Lokhande have already started shooting for their debut movies but now, another small screen actress is set to make it large. We are talking about Dipika Kakar of the Sasural Simar Ka fame. Dipika, who is a household Indian name, will be seen in first Bollywood film with JP Dutt ’s ‘ Paltan ’. Before any rumours or speculations would have taken place, the actress herself revealed the big news on Instagram, captioning, “What better could I ask for than being a part of a #JPDuttaFilm as my first one!! Such an honour to join the #Paltan”
Paltan has many male actors like Suniel Shetty , Sonu Sood , Harshvardhan Rane , Gurmeet Chaudhary , Arjun Rampal , Siddhant Kapoor and others. A few days back, it was reported that Esha Gupta has joined the unit as Arjun Rampal ’s wife but we don’t know who Dipika is paired opposite. Actress Sonal Chauhan of Jannat fame is also in the film.
In the past, Dutta has given us patriotic and war films like Border and LOC Kargil and even this film is about relationships formed within a regiment and how families get involved.
