She debuted with the movie ' Besharam ' opposite Ranbir Kapoor and now she has bagged a role in a Hollywood project. Going by the report, Pallavi Sharda has grabbed a role in Hollywood project titled 'Lion' that features Nicole Kidman, Rooney Mara and ' Slumdog Millionaire ' fame Dev Patel . It's the directorial debut of Garth Davis, who has helmed the mini-series 'Top of the Lake'.
Pallavi plays the role of Dev's friend in this venture. The movie is based on the novel 'A Long Way Home' by Saroo Bierleys. It's a real tale of a 5-year old boy who gets lost on the streets of Kolkata and an Australian couple adopts him. He goes in search of his lost family around after twenty five years. Pallavi has done shooting of her scenes in Melbourne, her hometown. She filmed in the months of April and May.
Pallavi Sharda stated "I had auditioned for the part, last year and was excited when I was signed on." She further added that "It's the story of a boy trying to find his birth mom using Google Earth. My character, an Indian girl, helps him finish the job."
