Power couple Aishwarya and Abhishek to star in a cop film?
Real life couple Aish and Abhishek is reportedly approached by Shailesh R Singh for a movie based on cops.

Power couple Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan , who was last seen in Mani Ratnam ’s Raavan (2010), are in constant demand by fans to share the big screen together. The actors are approached by many filmmakers to star together in their film but due to one or the other reasons, they never appeared in any film for the last 8 years. The two were reportedly considering a cop film; reports suggested that Ash had wanted changes in the script. However, it seems that the project is finally taking off.
A source told a leading daily, “An official announcement in this regard will be made soon. Shailesh is very keen on the project — the story is about cops based in Uttar Pradesh, who are also married to each other. It is a very intense film; there is a new director who will be helming the film. An announcement will be made very soon on the project.”
Talking about the two actors, the source continued saying, “Ash is choosy about her projects. She had some issues with the script and wanted a few changes, which had not happened. Meanwhile, she signed another film (the remake of Raat Aur Din). Abhishek also took up a few movies. Since the whole idea was to get Abhi and Ash together on screen, once she backed out, he too found the whole thing pointless. There were budget issues as well,” the source added.
While Abhishek has donned the cop roles in many films, especially in the Dhoom franchise, Aishwarya is new to this genre.
